Last Thursday was a beautiful, warm summer day in Key West and perfect for sharing some premium Haitian rhum with a thirsty crowd at Rum Bar. Barbancourt 3-Star and Pango were the focus of the day’s tasting and went over well.
As always, Bahama Bob went to work with the Barbancourt line a few days earlier at his floating test bar known as Rum Lab. As it turns out, Pango Rhum and Barbancourt 3-Star play nicely in tropical drinks. A few original cocktails made the menu for Thursday’s tasting along with several remixed classics.
As patrons came and went throughout the day, the most popular drink at Rum Bar was the Barbancourt Mai Tai, a riff on the original made with Pango, 3-Star and a variety of goodies that Bob keeps on hand. Here’s a look….enjoy!
