Barritt’s Ginger Beer invites you to try your hand at creating the next great Barritt’s cocktail. The winning mixologist will win an expense paid trip to Bermuda.
North American Beverage Co., the importer and manufacturer of Barritt’s Ginger Beer in the United States, is sponsoring the second-annual Barritt’s Bermuda Getaway.
Barritt’s Bermuda Getaway is a contest that awards a free trip for two to Bermuda to the person who comes up with the best cocktail recipe that features Barritt’s Ginger Beer. There are two separate trips available: one for a retailer and one for a consumer. An independent panel of cocktail experts will decide Barritt’s Bermuda Getaway’s two winners.
Each winner will receive two airline tickets and hotel accommodations. The contest ends April 20. Contestants must be 21 years or older and currently living in the United States. The winners will be picked in early May 2011.
Entrants must submit their cocktail recipes (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) online at: http://www.barrittsgingerbeer.bm/recipe_contest/ . There is no limit to entries, so please come up with as many quality cocktails as you can. However, cocktails are judged individually, not on the quantity submitted by one participant.
They are looking for quality, creative cocktails from fans and friends that enjoy the taste of Barritt’s. Cocktail enthusiasts who submit recipes with hard-to-find products may not have the best chance of winning. We suggest contestants enter recipes using high-quality ingredients that can be found at well-respected grocery stores and liquor stores.
Barritt’s Ginger Beer is originally from Bermuda. The soft drink has been in existence since 1874 and is owned by the fifth generation of Barritt’s. For more information, please visit: http://www.barrittsgingerbeer.bm/.
