It’s official, the Turks and Caicos Islands have the best beaches in the world. As it turns out, they have one of the best beach bars too.
World Class Beaches and Bars in the Turks and Caicos
We’ve been thinking about planning a trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands for some beach and rum research later this year, so we were thrilled when Trip Advisor announced their list of The World’s Top 25 Beaches. Provo, Turks and Caicos won the #1 spot!
Here’s what they had to say:
Trip Advisor – TCI Tops Best Beaches List: White-sand beaches, calm clear water and a bountiful barrier reef make the Turks and Caicos island of Providenciales a hot spot for families, snorkelers and divers. Some call rock-free Grace Bay Beach the best in the world. For an unusual experience, divers can walk along the ocean floor at Smith’s Reef, where underwater signs describe the reef’s ecosystem. Additional destinations include Iguana Island (home of endangered rock iguanas), the country’s only golf course, art galleries and a casino.

So, that got us wondering if there’s a beach bar within the vicinity of these world class beaches. As it turns out, there is. Right at the water’s edge on a beautiful stretch of sand in Provo is Da Conch Shack and Rum Bar, a place that The Travel Channel has deemed one of the World’s Sexiest Beach Bars. It is the favorite hangout spot of our friend and fellow Rum XP member, Bob Davies. He even created their rum menu so we know this place is top notch. Here’s a look at what brands they offer.
