Jesse Card, resident mixologist at Cruzan Rum, has put together a fantastic and stress-free drink option that will ensure your New Year’s Eve partygoers will have a fun and festive night. Give this simple yet sophisticated recipe a try.
- 1 part Cruzan Mango Rum
- 1 part Cruzan Aged Light Rum
- 1/2 part Cruzan Orange Rum
- 1/2 part Fresh Lime Juice
- 3 parts Sparkling Wine
- Orange Peel Ice Block (*see additional recipe below)
- Mint Sprigs
Method: Combine rum and lime juice in a punch bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour. When you’re ready to serve, add orange peel ice block and top with sparkling wine. Pour into a champagne flute and garnish with a mint sprig.
*Orange Peel Ice Block Recipe: Fill a small Tupperware container with water and put in the freezer until the top of the water begins to freeze over (approximately 20 minutes). When the top is thinly frozen, cut long twists of orange peel and add them to the water by cracking the top of the ice on one side. Put back into the freezer until frozen solid.
