I sampled it at a shop over the weekend. As I am not a fan of the original Lamb’s, the Spiced is much better than I thought it would be. The vanilla eases the burn a bit, but it still packs a punch. Might buy a bottle for the collection.
I enjoy the original Lamb’s. I wouldn’t call it a premium, but at that price, it’s hard to beat. Is Black Sheep widely available yet or just select markets?
This rum has been available in Canada for a couple months now…in Alberta, Saskatchewan and NFLD. Its no Captain Morgan Spiced…but its quite nice for the pricepoint!
I was used to the Indian ( the so-called ‘East Indian’; but utterly a misnomer for India) rums, which are usually bitter and hard. This one is sweet and mild.I would vote that it is delightful one to try out. Thanks.
This is disgusting for a rum. I did not expect much depth at that price range, but it is seriously a disappointment.
As a “spiced” rum, it features cinnamon (at a quantity that compares having a spoonful of powdered cinnamon) and vanilla (which you have to look around to find, due to the massive amount of cinnamon). At least the alcoholic burn is well hidden by the cinnamon, as is everything else.
Would recommend as shots, or mixed in Coca-Cola (or anything sugary to counterpart the cinnamon) or even in a molasses cake. Gonna try to down it in eggnog during the holiday season…
Try mixing it with apple juice. I know it sounds messed up, but it honestly tastes like fresh apple pie. I got it during a bar promo, and thought it would be sick, but it turned out to be amazing.

I agree. This will be a top selling spiced rum, but only available in the UK for now.
