I recently purchased a bottle of the Rhum Barbancourt and sampled it with the thought that this small indulgence of mine will actually trickle a small amount of money bank into the Haitian economy.
I can tell everyone that this rhum is a very very nice indulgence. Smooth with butterscotch and light rum flavours on the palate and a nice mild finish which caused me to have a second glass. I heartily recommend this spirit to any who are wondering about the french style rhum.
