<<<"their rums stack up against any rum in the same age category." That's a strong statement, Chip, but based on your other reviews I trust your judgement. I've heard good things about the JS 12 as well.

Thanks Jason,

You asked me last time how Casa Santana 5 year old stacked up against the ED 5. I was coy with my answer because I thought I would have the ED 5 review done sooner. But maybe what I should have said was that so far in my tasting of Juan Santos range, their rums stack up against any rum in the same age category.

I think that the Juan Santos American release only encompasses NYC and Boston thus far. Looking forward to trying this one. Thanks Chip.

Hi Scot

As far as I know the Juan Santos Label will not be coming to the UK for quite a while if ever. However my research indicates that another group of rums from Casa Santana arrived in Europe several years ago under the Ron Santero Label. I believe the Ron Santero Rums are very similar in character to the Juan Santos Rums. Just make sure if you find one that the distiller was Santana Liquor. I only say that because I have found evidence of a Cuban Ron Santero Rum which may or may not be related to the Santana Rums.
