A Batida can be prepared like a milk “shake” or “shaken” in a cocktail shaker. Both are completely valid forms of the drink. IMO, they’re much better shaken over rocks.

While that drink sounds and looks great, isn’t a Batida by definition a “milkshake” containing condensed milk and sugar?

I’ve seen a few Batida recipes similar to this one. By definition I think they can be shaken or blended, with or without condensed milk.

Cuba Libre makes a Lime Batida that is fantastic. Their approach is very similar to this, but with lime of course.
