I don’t know. I wasn’t expecting much from Tommy Bahama Rum, but I was way wrong on that one. I’ll hold judgement until I get a bottle of the Buffett Rum.

This rum is TERRIBLE!

Possibly the best rum I have ever had. Smoother than private stock with excellent vanilla notes.

At The Rum Project (link above), Sue Sea and I have tasted and reviewed over 120 rums. We are non-commercial and you can expect honest reviews, unlike the commercial sites ususually run by rum reps.
If anything, we’ve learned not to judge a rum by by either it’s origin, name, bottle, or price. Some of the world’s best rums are also some of the least expensive (eg Barbancourt Five Star). Some of the most expensive are disappointing (eg Zacapa, uh, 23).
Jimmy Buffet is an institution and we love rum in the Keys. We will soon be testing it, but until then I’d hold your fire…
