  1. Sailor Jerry UK Says:

We have read your post with interest and wanted to let you know we are listening.

Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins was an authentic, bold, original character and what we want to do is honour his legacy. We’ve put more information about the reasons for the recipe change up at http://www.sailorjerry.co.uk/?p=/the-rum/the-new-recipe

  2. Russell Evans Says:

In response to the comment by ‘Sailor Jerry UK’:

It has become apparent (through the reports of those who new Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins), that your intentions are not even remotely related to his legacy.

It is in very poor taste as a profit driven corporation to try and justify an unpopular decision with the name of a legendary man who would want nothing to do with your rum, new or old.

  3. Gerry Says:

Why oh why change the recipe?!?!?! it was the nicest and most enjoyable spirit in the market. since the change i never drink it anymore as it tastes like cheap crap. how u can think that the change will improve sales is beyond me as i work in a bar and we rarely sell any now…………….IF ITS NOT BROKE….DONT EVEN TRY FIXING IT!!!!

  4. Reidy105 Says:

How about this continue to sell this new rum (I’m sorry it’s unworthy of the name sailor jerry) and sell them side by side as original and new recipe get you old fans back and sell your new rubbish. problem solved

  5. rum Says:

i can’t believe no action has been taken…the old rum was sold out within a matter or moments in my local supermarket….now its always fully stocked…i got bought a bottle of new sailor jerry for my birthday and it ruined my day. Why did you change it? surely your profits must have taken a huge hit….in bars they are all always fully stocked, no one goes near it! i had to find an alternative rum.

is there anywhere where you can buy the old rum or have you completely stopped the production.
