Humboldt Distillery in Fortuna, California adds a spiced rum to their popular line of organic spirits. Check out the Times Standard for details about this growing locally-owned business.

From the Spirits Biz: Bacardi hopes its new Bacardi Gran Reserva Maestro de Ron white sipping rum can help premiumise the entire rum category. Bacardi Gran Reserva Masetro de Ron is a blend of rums aged for up to three years that have been filtered through coconut shell charcoal for a “superbly smooth” and “mellow” taste designed to be drunk neat or over ice.

Summer is here and the Houston Chronicle wants you to forget about your usual gin and vodka warm-weather drinks and get to know a few concoctions that feature premium white rums. Get the lowdown right here.
