E&J Gallo releases a line of rums, Zacapa enters Jamaica, Appleton Remixology kicks off and much more in this week’s rum news.

Wine industry giant E&J Gallo embraced the cane spirits industry this week by releasing a line of Bajan rums called ShellbackHere’s more.

The crew from Dallas Observer makes a road trip to Austin, Texas to tour Treaty Oak Distilling and sample some of their popular Platinum Rum.  Tune in to see what they think.

Appleton’s annual Remixology cocktail competition is in full swing with bartenders around the country slinging their best rum drinks set to soundtracks from all musical genres and eras.  Here’s the roundup from the action in Miami.
