imageTwo James Spirits opens their doors on Michigan Avenue in Detroit to become the city’s first legal distillery since Prohibition. Here are the details.

From Drinks Report: “The Indian Ocean Rum Company and Berry Bros. & Rudd Spirits have launched Penny Blue. Named after the world’s rarest stamp, Penny Blue is distilled at Medine, the oldest operational distillery on Mauritius, dating back to 1926.”

“After the successful product launch at Duty Free Shops in the Philippines, Bleeding Heart Company introduced its rum (Don Papa)made in Negros Occidental to a wider audience in Brussels.” ABS News has the scoop.

The Spirits Business reports: Ron Diplomàtico is releasing its Single Vintage 2000 Rum this October, a bottling of select Venezuelan rums produced from a single year’s sugar cane harvest.
