Disney discovers Siesta Key, cane spirits grow up and Rum Kitchen gets the Time Out treatment in this week’s news.


The Spirits Business reports “The ultimate party spirit, rum, is coming of age backed by a wave of premiumisations, acquisitions and an enduring global appeal.”

With a collection of more than 60 rums and a menu of classic tiki drinks, Lucky Joe’s has become one of Milwaukee‘s hottest new bars.  Journal Sentinal writes up a glowing review.

Siesta Key Spiced Rum has made it to Disney World.  The locally crafted, award-winning drink will be a key ingredient in one of Disney’s famous “Dole Whip” frozen desserts served at the upcoming Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.”  The Herald Tribune has the scoop.
